Water Tower 2 lot for Sims 2

After several years of not even having Sims2 installed, I finally reinstalled the game and decided to try rebuilding the Animaniacs water tower. I had to start from scratch, since the old tower was lost, but that allowed me to make some improvements, such as giving the tower a more circular shape. The old tower also had tons of custom content, but this tower has nothing that's not already included in the University and Nightlife expansion packs, so it should be user friendly if anyone wants to get a copy from me. Just send me an e-mail.

These are my new Warners. They're not very good, really, because without the custom content I'm very limited in their appearance. I also couldn't adjust their personalities the way they should be because I don't have that "magic painting". Basically they're just placeholders.

I'm not going to bother explaining how this tower was built, since it's pretty well covered in the previous watertower page. Instead, I'll cut right to the good stuff.

Here's a simple exterior shot level with the deck.

A higher angle this time. You can see how high it is from the ground, and also how I made this tower octagonal instead of square. This made the tower look more like a water tower, but proved to cause some difficulty in placing objects inside, since many items simply are not compatible with diagonal walls. You can also see that the deck is wood this time, instead of the nice metal grating I had last time, again due to the lack of custom content.

Here's a shot to better show the stairway leading up to the tower. I changed the stairs this time around by having them go out to a seperate pillar instead of trying to wrap them aruond the base of the tower like I did last time. I think this was a lot simpler to do, but I'm not sure I like the look. This game just really needs ladders.

And yes, that's a moat around the lot. I added it just for fun because I could. It's to keep out the rabbid fans. ;) Of course, the driveway gets in the way, so it doesn't actually accomplish anything, but it was a nice thought. Basically I did it just to see how it would look. I made it nice and deep so any of Dot's aquatic pets would have plenty of room for exersize, and a place to dispose of the bodies. ;)

Finally, I put the swimming pool to the side this time, since I planned better where the driveway would go. The pool is located in the right position so that a sim could jump off the tower and into the pool if they wanted. You just know the Warners would be doing that every day. ;) Now if only the game would allow it.

Here's an interrior shot of the first floor. Starting from the 12 'Oclock postion we have the stairway up to the second floor, a side door, bathroom, kitchen, small room with a treadmill and another side door, television and couches, artist's easle, main entry, chess board, and dining table.

A shot from the opposite direction, to better show the bathroom, kitchen and couches.

Second floor from the same angle. From 12 'Oclock, pinball machines, computers, chess board, bowling alley, pool table, stairway, bubble machine, ring thingy, (I forget the name,) arcade games, and card table.

The opposite angle to better show the stairs.

Third floor from the same angle as the last. From 12, the stairway, karaoke machine, DJ machine, drums, some kind of personality changing machine, (it really shouldn't be there, but I forgot to remove it,) jukebox, and some kind of light thingy I'd never used before and am not impressed with.

The opposite angle, which better shows the guitar, drums, piano and bass at the 12 'Oclock position, and the stairway leading up to the fourth floor.

The fourth floor, where the sleeping quarters are. From 12, the bathroom, Dot's room, stariway going down, Wakko's bed, and Yakko's bed. Pretty simple, but all they need to do there is sleep, so who cares?

The opposite angle, which shows a little more of the bathroom.

And finally a night shot from further away, just for fun.

Goodnight everybody!
